Maui: A Panoramic Perspective

It's fairly hard to take a bad photo on Maui.

Unless a series of unfortunate events occur - you drop your phone in a blowhole, take several shots of your fingertip or only capture the stunning beauty (ahem) of the billowing smoke from the sugar factory - chances are you'll come home with more than a few photo album winners.

Please enjoy this delightful guest post by Hawaii Web Group of their most recent Maui panoramic photos. Your eyeballs will thank you.

Recent Maui Panoramic Photos

Baldwin Beach - Located on Maui's north shore near Paia Town, Baldwin is a favorite beach hangout for locals and visitors alike. After a refreshing dip in the ocean, head down the street to grab ono grinds from Maka by Mana, or stock up on some fine lookin' picnic goodies from Kuau Store.

Kanaio Coast - A stretch of coastline on the back side of Haleakala, Kanaio is rugged beauty at its finest. Some of our favorite activities in this area are fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling. The landscapes above and below the ocean are incredibly beautiful.

Iao Valley - No trip to Maui is complete without a little day adventure in Iao Valley. Whether you're interested in learning more about the rich historical significance of the area, hiking through lush, scenic trails, or 86'ing yesterday's mai tais in the freezing Iao Stream, you won't regret exploring this magical area.

Sailing with Kai Kanani - I don't often say boats are sexy (just kidding, I say that all the time), but the Kai Kanani is definitely the Hemsworth brothers of the boat world. Excellent service, great cocktails, and a beautiful way to experience a Maui sunset or whale watch. Or both!

Kayaking - Whale watching is one thing, but whale watching from a kayak on Maui is a whole other thing. If this isn't one of the coolest things you've ever done in your life, you might just be the most interesting man (or woman) in the world. Tours typically depart from Makena Landing or Olowalu.

Maui Tropical Plantation - It's like Las Vegas for nature lovers! Maui Tropical Plantation has something for everyone - ziplining, shopping, tropical tram tours, a brand new restaurant from Chef Jeff Scheer, craft cocktails, and live music events and outdoor movies at The Mill House. Yes please.

Paia Bay Sunset - Have your eyeballs exploded yet? No?! Alright, keep reading. Paia Bay is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a beautiful tropical sunset. If you want to take you sunset gazin' up a notch, start with lilikoi margaritas during happy hour at Cafe des Amis and head here after.

South Maui Beach Day - It's hot, it's dry, it's crowded, it's gorgeous. Welcome to South Maui! Beach days never looked so good. Don't forget the umbrella, SPF, water, and snacks, and remember to watch the waves before hopping in. Some of our favorite beaches in this area are Charley Young, Keawakapu, Chang's and Big Beach.

West Maui Ocean Excursions - Check out that lovely view of the West Maui Mountains from Olowalu! There are several ocean activities in this area, but we recommend snorkeling tours with Trilogy Excursions or outrigger canoeing with Hawaiian Paddle Sports.

Wailea Beach - Backed by South Maui's most luxurious resorts, Wailea Beach is an excellent swimming spot for just about every member of the family. With gentle, sloping sand and plenty of room to spread out, fun in the sun never looked so easy.
