8/10 - Akaku Walk of Heroes. Akaku, Maui's community TV station, is honoring three Maui leaders by imprinting their hand prints or foot prints in cement. Entertainment by local comedian Andy Bumatai and musicians. 5 - 8 pm. Kahului at Akaku Headquarters on Dairy Road. Free.
8/10 - Chamber Music from San Francisco. String quartet concert by musicians from the San Francisco Symphony. Seabury Hall, 7:30 pm. Free.
8/10 - Over + Under Art Event. Featuring Over Water and Under Water photography. The Official Opening of Art Project Paia, 77 Hana Hwy, Paia. 4 pm - 9 pm.
8/11 - Cirque du Sunday. Emerald City Trapeze Arts. Learn to trapeze for $10! Music, entertainment. Enjoy a free show with a Cirque du Soleil artist. Food is available. 2-9 pm. Lahaina.
8/12 - Maui Food Forests Meeting. Pukalani Community Center, Pool Room. 7 - 9 pm, Pukalani.
8/12 – Bare Essential Theater or One Night Only - ONO! at the 'Iao Theater. Free reading of selected plays and shows by Maui Onstage. "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." 6:30 pm, Wailuku.
8/15 - Mauitopia Concert at Ahimsa Sacred Earth Farm. Very alternative, hippie-esque concert with belly dancers! 8 pm. Haiku. Free.

8/29 - Hawaiian Music Concert Series at Baldwin Home Museum, on the lawn. Lahaina. 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Free. Bring a chair or beach blankets.
8/30-8/31 - Ka'anapali Fresh - Food festival celebrating locally grown produce and farmers. Not free but it supports and raises awareness of local agriculture. One can buy tickets for the entire weekend or specific events/farm tours. Ka'anapali.
8/31 - Soulyx Live Funk Band. They're friends, so they get listed. Makawao Union Church, on Baldwin Avenue towards Makawao. 8:30 pm. $8 to $10.
