Temple of Peace Mosaic Mural

Mosaic Mural completed last year at the Temple of Peace in Haiku

Every time I pass the Temple of Peace in Haiku, there is new artwork.  This tile mural was actually made last year, but I didn't get a chance to take any good pictures until recently. I love the words in many languages, including Hawaiian, French, Spanish, Hebrew, German, and other languages that I don't know. I'm going to guess Ilocano, Tagalog, Samoan, Vietnamese, and Korean, among others.  The mural is visible from the road, just drive up Haiku Road from Hana Highway towards the Cannery/Shopping Center.


P.S. Just found out that the artist who made this amazing work is Kasha Banko.  

Peace in many languages. Try to guess what they all are. 

The floor of the mural is part of the sidewalk,
and has sayings and words in Hawaiian.
